Tips on Choosing your look – Bridal Hairstyle

Congratulations! Looking your best, stunning & standing out of the crown is very important on your wedding day. You want the groom to not stop gazing in your eyes & be engrossed in your beauty. Aside choosing the best dress that suits your height, shape & figure, having the best hair and make-up is vital for the big day. It is one of the main attributes that many will be looking at on the day; especially your groom, let alone the pictures that hold the memory forever. Making a choice as a bride is not as easy as it seems, you want your day to be the best and filled with great memories. You need to keep it at the back of your mind that everyone has an opinion, but YOU have the final say!

Here are some tips that should help;

  • Don’t be scared to cheat. If you think your hair doesn’t have the body or volume for a particular style you desire add pieces or a full head weave/extension to achieve the look & even to add colour. Straighteners can make your hair ultra-sleek & a well-placed veil can make even short hair appear long.
  • Don’t be tempted to go for a radical hair style. Experimenting with a totally new look might throw the groom off, remember it’s you that he ask to marry and it’s you that he want to see at the altar.
  • What is your means of transport to church? Horse-drawn carriage, open-roof vehicle or moped; it is important you choose a hair style to suit.
  • If you need to trim your hair, do it before your hair trial. A couple of centimetres (or an inch) off before the day can make the style you settled for almost impossible to achieve.
  • Always have a full trial run including any weaves or extensions (if you will be having any) with your veil and/or tiara before the big day.
  • If you are not happy with the hair that the stylist has done during the trial section, don’t be too shy to tell them. Any professional hair stylist would rather start again rather than ruining your big day.

Remember it is your big day, everyone is obligated to work towards your happiness!
